Feeding Dreams Cambodia

OUR CAUSE

We strive to keep families united, fight poverty, illiteracy and malnutrition, and help grow tomorrow’s community leaders.

Who we are?

Feeding Dreams Cambodia is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious, non-governmental organization dedicated to holistic, sustainable development within the local community. Our mission extends to various initiatives, aimed at positively impacting the lives of underprivileged children and fostering meaningful connections between volunteers and the community. Feeding Dreams Cambodia has been operating since 2012 as a non government organisation to support the children and their families from the sangkat slakram and sala kamrek slums.  Feeding Dreams provides free education, nutrious meals and family support to over 800 children.  100% of the Funding for FDC operations  comes from our generous supporters around the world, without whom we would not be able to operate and we are forever grateful for their ongoing support.

Following on from our 10th birthday in 2022, in 2023 we marked another special milestone in the story of Feeding Dreams Cambodia. Our strategic plan has always been to train and nurture our Khmer leadership team to continue the fight against poverty for many years to come. The newly formed, all Khmer, leadership team was selected with Sophorn taking up post as the new Executive Director of Feeding Dreams Cambodia and Mr KUN Sengthai – Program Director. On the 21st March – the Ministry of Interior of Cambodian Royal Government approved this with Prakas number No: 799

Feeding Dreams is registered with the Cambodian Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Education Youth and Sport, Ministry of Tourism, and the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training.  Upon completion of our courses, students receive nationally recognized certificates of accreditation from supporting Ministries and Departments.

What we do?

Through the strategic implementation of our 5 established programs, we deliver effective and positive outcomes.

Education Program (800 students)
Community Support (3,000 Indirect Beneficiaries )
School Meals (600 served daily)
I.T Program (200 yearly)
Kindergarten (60 kids daily)

We have a great team of responsible professional Khmer management and staff, working alongside accomplished international staff.

We work closely with community leaders and the local government who uses Feeding Dreams Cambodia as a model of “best practice” for smaller organisations to lead the transformation of impoverished communities.  Feeding Dreams is the largest organization in our commune and has earned an excellent reputation to provide valuable services and support through our many development programs.

Feeding Dreams remains strongly focused on the care and protection of children.  We work in collaboration with Human Rights Organisations and local Government Authorities and play an active role in prevention and responding to violence against children.

Feeding Dreams receives NO government funding and is completely reliant on private donations to fund our programs and support the families in the Sangkat SlaKram and Sala Kamreuk communes.
