Feeding Dreams Cambodia

OUR CAUSE

We strive to keep families united, fight poverty, illiteracy and malnutrition, and to help grow tomorrow’s community leaders and professionals.

Who are we?

Feeding Dreams Cambodia is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious, non-governmental organization dedicated to holistic, sustainable development within the local community. Our mission extends to various initiatives, aimed at positively impacting the lives of underprivileged children and fostering meaningful connections between volunteers and the community. Feeding Dreams Cambodia has been operating since 2012 as a non-governmental organization (NGO) to support the children and their families from the Sangkat SlaKram and Sala Kamreuk slums.  Feeding Dreams provides free education, and family support to over 900 children and nutritious daily meals to over 500 children. 100% of the Funding for FDC operations  comes from our generous supporters around the world, without whom we would not be able to operate and we are forever grateful for their ongoing support.
Following our 10th birthday in 2022, we marked another special milestone in the story of Feeding Dreams Cambodia in 2023. Our strategic plan has always been to train and nurture our Khmer leadership team to continue the fight against poverty for many years to come. In February 2023, the General Assembly conducted a vote where the senior management team and former director formed a new leadership team. Mr. NGIN Sophorn was elected as the new Executive Director, Mr. KUN Sengthai as Program Director, and Miss. KOY Sovannchansreypich as Administrative and Finance Director. These appointments were recognized and approved by the Ministry of Interior of the Cambodian Royal Government with Prakas numbers: 799 and 766.

Feeding Dreams is registered with the Cambodian Ministry of Interior and our FDC Education program operates under the guidelines of and in alignment with the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport, Ministry of Tourism, and the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training.

What do we do?

Through the strategic implementation of our 5 established programs, we deliver effective and positive outcomes.

Education Program (over 900 students daily)
Community Support (3,000 Indirect Beneficiaries )
School Meals (over 500 served daily)
I.T Program (200 yearly)
Kindergarten (160 kids daily)

We have a great team of responsible professional Khmer management and staff, working alongside accomplished international staff.

We work closely with community leaders and the local government who uses Feeding Dreams Cambodia as a model of “best practice” for smaller organizations to lead the transformation of impoverished communities.  Feeding Dreams is the largest organization in our commune and has earned an excellent reputation to provide valuable services and support through our many development programs.

Feeding Dreams remains strongly focused on the care and protection of children.  We work in collaboration with Human Rights organizations and local Government Authorities and play an active role in prevention of and response to violence against children.

Feeding Dreams receives NO government funding and is completely reliant on private donations to fund our programs and support the families in the Sangkat SlaKram and Sala Kamreuk communes.
